The main changes are:
- Added A320 screen brightness option to frontend.
- Fixed bug with games containing multiple FM sound systems. Was allocating two identical FM tables and segmentation faulting when on exit (trying to free the same table of memory twice). This stops some games crashing on exit.
- More speed and smaller executable. Perhaps some of the larger games may run now?
See the included "whatsnew.txt" for complete details.

I, Robot runs really nicely now.
So does Bubble Bobble, though still needs a bit of overclock to run at 100%.
Hey, it's got 3x Z80s and 1x M6801 to emulate!
Parodius was the first game I got running back in v1.0.
I still have more planned for the next release of MAME4ALL Dingux so stay tuned! As always, more speed and more compatibility.

ReplyDeleteTMNT and Simpsons don´t work... enable for inicialize video"... what´s happen?
ReplyDeleteTMNT and Simpsons both work fine on my unit using v1.2.
ReplyDeleteI can only suggest that you delete your configuration files in the "frontend" directory. If that fails, try deleting the files in "cfg" too.
Thanks Slaanesh, the games work now...would be possible to add SAVE STATE in a future version?
ReplyDeleteAlas, Altered Beast and Toki still don't work :(
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, thank you for this long awaited release :)
Thank you Slaanesh!
ReplyDeletethanks you Slaanesh
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I spend 80% of the time on my Dingoo in mame4all ;)
ReplyDeleteAltered Beast does not work on the GP2X either using compatible core - it does work with the Cyclone core. I know the reason why so this (and hopefully other) problems will be fixed in the next version of MAME4ALL Dingux. I will also work on reducing the size of the executable even further so that more games will work.
ReplyDeletebrightness does not seem to be affected for me... deleted all the files from mame 1.1 and put the mame 1.2 full ...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the amazing work.
ReplyDelete1. Where can I download the old 1.0 version?
2. EnduroRacer crashes all versions of Mame4all
As a suggestion for games like Mortal Kombat, what about creating specific emulators for those specific drivers?
ReplyDeleteSo MAME4All wouldn't become "heavy"...
Mame4all Dingux v1.0 isn't really available anymore. If you really want it I can send it to you. It's less compatible, has bugs and is slower.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think the next release will have separate executables for Mortal Kombat/Smash TV, etc. That will make the main executable much smaller and give MK a good chance of starting. I don't think it will ever run very well though - it's just too much for the A320.
Yes, as for the brightness option - I put everything in except for the actual call to the API. That will be fixed in v1.3. Oops!
Hallo, I need your help because v 1.2 not working on my system. I've cancelled previous version (1.0) and added the new version in full with all folders but when I start it , it doesn't work, it backs to Dmenu. What can I do?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
M.

Slaanesh, Are you thinking about change M68K Core? I suppose that there are not a good M68K core assembler written for MIPS and I think that FAME/C core is a good option because it is faster and very accurate. The older MAME4ALL for Dreamcast works with FAME and runs very well.
ReplyDeletePlease, contact with me (sdl_gp32@yahoo.es) if you want help for changing it.
Chui.
thank you for consider me...
ReplyDeleteGreat emulator. I love being able to play mame on the go. I wish R-Type Leo was working. I have the .36 version and it crashes when trying to load.
ReplyDeleteI am having problems with the "Type OK to continue" showing on each ROM. The left right joystick is not working on any of those roms. I am relatively new, but is there an option like regular MAME where you can put in a config file to bypass this from showing. I am new with Dingux so let me know if I am missing something obvious
